Job Description

Job Summary:

Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the API separator, the lagoons, and Waste Water Treatment Plant. Ensures that the WWTP, Flare and API areas are kept clean and orderly. Trains and certifies for the next level in the line of progression.

Minimum Requirements:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 0-12 months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must comply with OSHA Respiratory Protection guidelines and the company respiratory protection program which includes a medical evaluation and fit test to determine the ability to wear a respirator. Must be able to don appropriate respiratory equipment to protect the employee whenever respirators are required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Technical skill to perform ongoing job duties, such as word processing, troubleshooting machinery, or monitoring inventory levels.
* Computer skills for inquiry purposes only to look up, retrieve, input or send data and print standard reports or spreadsheets developed by others.
* Mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide for balancing or compiling figures.
* Skill in operating various hand tools and equipment, such as pick, shovel, sledgehammer, wrench, hammer, screwdriver, and measuring tape.
* Written communication skill to fill out routine forms and records.
* Oral communication skill to give, receive, or exchange information with co-workers.
* Interpersonal communication skill to work effectively with others in order to coordinate activities and complete assigned tasks.
* Ability to read and understand technical instructions, memos, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to follow specific, step-by-step instructions, standard procedures, and operating guidelines.
* Ability to provide a high level of customer service to employees by responding to requests in a courteous manner and on a timely basis.
* Ability to plan and schedule defined activities, requiring few steps for completion, that are normally completed within a one-day timeframe.
* Ability to work effectively with general supervisory guidance. Operating guidelines, standard procedures, or written manuals are utilized.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Must provide authorization to review MVR and is subject to company insurability
