Job Description

Western Refining is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have Advantis and JD Edwards experience. The ideal candidate will be supervising the A/P analyst department which support different areas such as Tempe, Arizona, Gallup, New Mexico, Bloomfield, New Mexico, El Paso, Texas, and Projects.

Major Job Tasks:

Supervise the A/P analyst department directly including cross training.

Support the A/P Manager with assigned projects from time to time like 1099 reports.

Interacts with customers and other departments in researching and resolving discrepancies.

Ensure that invoices are pulled for review by internal and external auditors, bank auditors.

Review and approves the addition of new vendors to the A/P system.

Prepares and/or reviews monthly A/P accruals and reconciles A/P related G/L accounts.

Associate's Degree and 4-6 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have high volume payable experience preferable in a large corporation.

3 way match experience.

Heavy P.O. experience and high volume of number of transactions and high dollar amounts experience.

Supervisory experience.

Proven written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with others in order to coordinate activities and arrive at mutual decisions.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, customers, and the general public.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable where limited standardization exists.

Ability to work effectively with general supervisory guidance ensuring general internal policies, guidelines, and procedures are utilized

Ability to maintain confidentiality.
